GENERAL RULES
APPLIES TO ALL MOTORCYCLE CLASSES
  • All bikes must have an adequate chain guard, functioning front and rear brakes.
  • Leather jacket, leather boots/shoes above the ankle, and leather gloves are mandatory
  • Snap back throttle mandatory.
  • Nitrous, bottles must be contained within the frame rails and securely fastened.
  • Catch can required if OEM crankcase ventilation altered
  • All motorcycles must be equipped with a positive ignition/fuel cutoff switch attached to the rider with a lanyard.
  • Full leathers mandatory on motorcycles running quicker than 9.99 ET or 120 Mph and over.
  • Two Piece suits must be joined together with a zipper at the waist.
  • No ballast can be added in front of steering head or on moveable parts
  • All dial-ins must be posted on each motorcycle prior to pulling out of the staging lane
  • Drivers may enter their motorcycle in more than one class, but driver may ride only one bike in each class.
  • All welds must pass a visual inspection
  • Pit bikes and scooters prohibited from all classes.
  • Tire rating appropriate to bikes capabilities
  • Decals: Hurricnae alley and Sponsr decals required at Tech Inspection.
  • All classes are 1/4 mmile unless specifically indicated as 1/8th
  • Tech Inspection Procedure
    Hurricane Alley Race Time Tech
  • Performed by Hurricane Alley staff and/or Track Safety Tech
  • May be at staging or end of track.
  • Come to tech with all requirements to race, leathers, helmet, etc.
  • Insure all safety measures described in general rules are followed.
  • Verification of class designation, required clearance or Wheelbase variations
  • clearance measure: 8psi, rider seated on bike, hands on handlebars, feet forward, only heels on the ground.
  • Racer's responsibility to determine if motorcycle conforms to all other class rules.
  • Verify required class and series decals are displayed
  • Failure options: class reassignment / modify motorcycle / refund.
  • Hurricane Alley Post-run Tech
  • Performed by Hurricane Alley staff.
  • Verify motorcycle conforms to class being raced.
  • Failure results in a disqualifed lap if during qualifying
  • Failure treated as a DQ in eliminations. No refund
  • Protesting fee and procedure
    All protests can only be filed by a participant in that class. A protest must be presented before the end of that class. Refusal of inspection, found guilty or admittance to guilt will result in fines matched by the protest amount. Rider will not be allowed to race in the series until the fine is paid in full. If found guilty the fine will go 50% to tech, 50% to class points fund and protest fee returned to protester. Most recent championship points awarded, will be forfeited if found guilty. If the protested person is found not guilty, that person will receive the protested money paid by the protester.
    Tech reserves the right to reject protests deemed as frivilous
    There are three Protest Levels:
    Performance
  • Cost $100.
  • Verify motorcycle performance components and set-up conforms to class being raced.
  • Failure treated as a DQ in eliminations. No refund
  • examples: Clearance. wheelbase, clutch, electronics, bike swap
    Safety
  • Cost $25.
  • Verify safety related rules are followed
  • Failure to correct before next lap will result in a DQ. No refund
  • examples: catch can, solenoid shutoff tied to kill switch, tail light, pit speeding
    Administrative
  • Cost $10
  • failure to follow administrative rules
  • examples: class decals, series decals
  • STOCK ET
    $15 entry fee
  • Adhere to all general rules listed above
  • Buy Back into Stock ET after 1st round loss for $10
  • DOT tires required
  • Functional taillight is required when track lighting is operating.
  • Sportsman-tree (.500)
  • Buy-backs allowed for 1st round only.
  • Lowering to 3" ground clearance
  • non-OEM Exhaust system acceptable
  • Wheelbase maximum - 60"
  • Mounted airshifters, wheelie bars, shift lights prohibited.
  • NO other modifiations from stock bike are allowed.
  • NHRA license not required if under 9.99 and 120mph.
  • Stock ET is for new racers and is not a points class

  • Turbos, superchargers, and/or nitrous permitted.
  • Any wheelbase allowed.
  • Functional taillight is required when track lighting is operating.
  • Sportsman-tree (.500), bracket race dial-in, breakout enforced.
  • Random pairings for early rounds. Sportsman ladder used for pairings when less than 17 remain after 2nd round.
  • STREET IDX (9.50 index)
    $45 entry fee

  • Any rider not participating in weigh-in must follow rules for the lighest weight category in his engine configuration class.

  • Hydraulic brakes front and rear, mandatory. Minimum dual rotor 9-inch diameter, Single rotor 11-inch
  • Rider must be able to shut off fuel without removing hands from handlebars.
  • A secondary shut-off device attached to rider. This device must control fuel valve.
  • Front suspension minimum size 32 mm and minimum travel of 2 inches.
  • A steering dampener is mandatory.
  • Fork stops required; max turning arc to 28 degrees
  • All frames should be heliarc welded and main rails must be chrome moly of adequate diameter.
  • Rake angle must be at least 40 degrees
  • Minimum of 2 inches with rider on motorcycle and 10 p.s.i. in rear tire
  • Wheelbase Minimum of 85 inches
  • Minimum length from center of rear axle to center of wheelie bar axle must be > 83"
